In June 2001, my sister was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Adenocarcinoma (breast cancer, Stage 1). On June 22, 2022 after 21 years of fighting a disease that never experienced remission, she lost her battle, and we lost a most beautiful soul. She spent her life fighting to live and in doing so, taught me so much about living and of dying peacefully.
After years of studying psychology, coaching, and most recently about death and dying it took being in the face of such loss, to finally actualize my calling to share this experience in the form of a Life Journey Advocate, Grief Coach and End-of-Life Doula. In this, I feel my sister's presence and a great sense of purpose.
Life and death are intertwined elements of our human experience, intricately woven into our existence. Acknowledging our finite existence compels us to approach life with a sense of purpose and appreciation for each moment.
As a professionally trained and experienced life coach and certified end-of-life doula, who has also faced great loss, empathy enables me to connect deeply with those I serve to support and educate about loss, death, dying and grief.
